TERMS OF USE AND MAINTENANCE: HPL laminate kitchen worktops.
The kitchen worktop is the most exploited part of the kitchen and therefore the material from which it is made (HPL laminate) is characterised by increased resistance to mechanical damage, increased temperature, moisture and UV radiation. Despite this, worktops are not indestructible. Excessive contact with water, very high temperatures (e.g. a pot placed straight from the fire) and certain chemicals for too long can cause irreparable damage, which is then not covered by the guarantee.
In particular, avoid:
- exposing the worktop to prolonged contact with water, especially at joints, at the sink and on the edges of the worktop.
- placing hot pots, pans and dishes on the surface of the worktop without the correct pads.
- cut, grind or hammer with blunt or sharp instruments directly on the worktop surface.
- opening the dishwasher during and immediately after a dishwashing programme (the dishwasher should be emptied at least 15 minutes after the programme has ended).
- cleaning the worktop with aggressive and abrasive cleaning agents.
Cleaning and maintenance
- most typical stains can be removed successfully with a dry or damp cloth. Dishwashing liquid, glass cleaner, non-scratching cleansing lotions can also be used. Always wash the surface of the worktop with clean water after using chemicals.
Melamine furniture fronts.
This is a basic material for the production of kitchen furniture characterised by an exceptionally wide range of colours. Melamine fronts are highly resistant to UV radiation, which ensures high colour durability over a long period of time, and moderate resistance to mechanical damage. They are suitable for use in closed, ventilated rooms with normal temperature and air humidity. It is not permissible to use them outdoors.
- exposing the fronts to prolonged contact with moisture and hot steam.
- it is not permissible to immerse MDF/PVC elements in water.
- it is not permissible for the surfaces to come into contact with sharp or rough objects, solvents or colouring agents.
- the use of solvents, abrasive scouring agents (powders, creams), undiluted or concentrated cleaning agents, especially coloured ones, is not permitted.
- do not leave stains to dry as they may permanently discolour the surface.
- do not use hard bristle brushes or strong scouring or bleaching agents
- do not cook without the cooker hood on.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Most typical soiling can be successfully removed with a dry or damp cloth. Dishwashing liquid, glass cleaner, non-scratching cleansing lotions can also be used. Always wash the surface of the worktop with clean water after using chemicals.
- stains caused by strongly coloured substances such as tea, coffee, red wine, curry, mustard should be rinsed off with water as soon as possible or wiped with a damp cloth.
MDF/PVC furniture fronts. MDF/PVC high gloss.
MDF/PVC elements are characterised by high aesthetics of workmanship, a wide range of colours. They are highly UV-resistant, which ensures high colour durability over a long period of time. Matt fronts show moderate resistance to mechanical damage. High-gloss fronts are characterised by low resistance to scratching and mechanical damage and therefore require special treatment during use. . MDF/PVC fronts are suitable for use in closed, ventilated rooms with normal temperatures and humidity. It is not permissible to use them outdoors.
In particular, avoid the following:
- exposing the fronts to prolonged contact with moisture and hot steam.
- immersion of MDF/PVC elements in water is not permitted.
- no contact of the foiled surfaces with sharp or rough objects, solvents or colouring agents.
- use a soft cotton, silk or microfibre cloth to clean MDF/PVC fronts.
- Most common stains can be successfully removed with a dry or damp cloth. Dishwashing liquid, glass cleaner, non-scratching cleansing lotions can also be used. Always wash the surface of the worktop with clean water after using chemicals.
- stains caused by strongly coloured substances such as tea, coffee, red wine, curry or mustard should be rinsed off with water or wiped with a damp cloth as soon as possible.
Lacquered furniture fronts
Lacquered fronts are manufactured on the basis of mdf coated with high-quality colour varnishes. This technology allows any colour to be obtained from RAL, NCS and ICA colour charts. This gives a palette of over 2000 colours to choose from. Lacquered fronts are made in two surface finishes: matt and high-gloss. Lacquered fronts are characterised by high colour durability, increased resistance to moisture and water vapour, which is why they are often used as elements of bathroom furniture. High-gloss lacquered fronts, however, are characterised by low resistance to scratches and mechanical damage and therefore require special treatment during use. .
In particular they should be avoided:
- exposing the fronts to prolonged contact with moisture and hot steam.
- immersion of the lacquered parts in water is not permitted.
- no contact of the lacquered surfaces with sharp or rough objects, solvents or colouring agents.
- no solvents, abrasive scouring agents (powders, creams), undiluted or concentrated cleaning agents, especially coloured cleaning agents.
- do not leave stains to dry as they may permanently discolour the surface.
- do not use hard bristle brushes or strong scouring or bleaching agents
- do not cook without the cooker hood on.
Cleaning and maintenance
- use a soft cotton, silk or microfibre cloth to clean lacquered fronts.
- Most typical soiling can be successfully removed with a dry or damp cloth . Dishwashing liquid, glass cleaner, non-scratching cleansing milk can also be used. Always rinse the surface with clean water after using chemicals.
- stains caused by strong coloured substances such as tea, coffee, red wine, curry, mustard should be rinsed off with water as soon as possible or wiped with a damp cloth.
- do not remove the protective film if construction or finishing work is still taking place in the room.
Acrylic furniture fronts
Super Gloss furniture fronts are made of ABS furniture foil, the top part of which is covered with a layer of acrylic. Thanks to the use of acrylic the front surface achieves a gloss exceeding 80 Gloss. The front's surface is resistant to UV radiation and the colouring of the foil is fully repeatable. Furniture fronts are always supplied with a protective foil . This avoids damage to the surface during transport as well as during installation. After removing the protective foil, acrylic fronts undergo a curing process which lasts up to 7 days. High-gloss lacquered fronts are characterised by low resistance to scratches and mechanical damage and therefore require special treatment during use.
In particular the following should be avoided
- exposing the fronts to prolonged contact with moisture and hot steam.
- it is not permissible to immerse acrylic elements in water.
- Acrylic surfaces must not come into contact with sharp or rough objects, solvents or colouring agents.
- Do not use solvents, abrasive scouring agents (powders, creams), undiluted or concentrated cleaning agents, especially coloured ones.
- do not leave stains to dry as they may permanently discolour the surface.
- do not use hard bristle brushes or strong scouring or bleaching agents
- do not cook without the cooker hood on.
Cleaning and maintenance
- use a soft cotton, silk or microfibre cloth to clean acrylic fronts.
- Most common stains can be successfully removed with a dry or damp cloth .
Wooden and veneered furniture fronts
Kitchen furniture with wooden and veneered fronts may differ from display kitchens. Wood is a natural material, the colour and grain of which depend on many factors, therefore differences in the texture and colour of fronts may occur, which does not constitute a defect of the product. Non-mechanised manufacturing technologies, such as manual lacquering and sanding, are used in the production of wooden fronts. The specifics of manual work means that surface inhomogeneities may occur, which do not constitute a defect in the product and do not affect its functionality or durability. Wooden fronts may, in the course of use, reveal slight changes in shape and dimensions caused by specific operating conditions (humidity, temperature differences, lighting, etc.) and the natural properties of the materials used in production. Such changes do not constitute a defect in the product and do not affect its durability and functionality.
In particular, avoid:
- exposing the fronts to prolonged contact with moisture and hot steam.
- opening the dishwasher immediately after the end of the washing programme, the dishwasher should be emptied at least 15 minutes after the end of the programme - hot steam may irreversibly damage the front (swelling of the front, loosening of the veneer).
- it is not permissible to immerse wooden elements in water.
- it is not permissible for wooden and veneered surfaces to come into contact with sharp or rough objects, solvents, colouring agents.
- the use of solvents, abrasive scouring agents (powders, creams), undiluted or concentrated cleaning agents, especially coloured, acetone or ammonia based agents is not permitted.
- do not leave stains to dry as they may permanently discolour the surface.
- do not use hard bristle brushes or strong scouring or bleaching agents
- do not cook without the cooker hood on.
Cleaning and maintenance
- use a soft cloth and special cleaning products for varnished wood fronts
